Help Me Learn Your Name

John Aycock

University, especially first-year university with its big classes, can be a pretty faceless experience. Typically you're identified by (part of) your student ID number, and that's a shame, because our name can be an important part of who we are.

So, I'm willing to try to learn your name. The problem: I suck pretty badly at remembering people's names, but I'm willing to try anyway. Be warned that if I learn your name, I may use it in class to try and personalize the whole CPSC 217 Experience (tm) for you.

If you're interested, please give me a single printed page with your name and picture on it. Please do not email it to me, as it can take me ages to print things sometimes. If your name is hard to pronounce, maybe give me the pronunciation, or what you prefer to be called if it's different from what I'll see on the class list. Even include a few things about yourself if you like.

Please note: this is optional.

As for when to do this, the sooner the better so I can start memorizing,
