Exam Information

CPSC 441 will have a quiz in early February, a mid-term exam in early March, and a final examination in late April.

Quiz

A short 30-minute written quiz on networking concepts/definitions and application-layer protocols will take place in class on Friday, February 1, 2013. The quiz will be administered by your TAs, and will count 6% toward your final grade. Here is the quiz and a sample solution.

Midterm Exam

The CPSC 441 midterm exam will take place in class on Friday March 8. The 50-minute closed book exam will cover all material presented in lectures, tutorials, and assignments up to that point, with particular emphasis on the transport and network layers. In fact, here is the 2013 midterm exam, along with a sample solution.

The midterm exam will be graded on a percentage scale. This exam counts 20% toward your final grade in CPSC 441.

Final Exam

The CPSC 441 final exam will take place on Monday, April 29 at 8:00am in ST 135. The two-hour closed book final exam will cover all material presented in lectures, tutorials, and assignments throughout the semester, but with an emphasis on material covered since the midterm exam.

The final exam will be graded on a percentage scale. This exam counts 50% toward your final grade in CPSC 441.
