CPSC 441: Computer Networks

Professor Carey Williamson

Winter 2022

Grading Information

Student evaluation in CPSC 441 will be based on three coursework components: assignments (50%), midterm exam (20%), and final exam (30%).

CPSC 441 will have four assignments, which in aggregate account for 50% of your final grade. All assignments will be equally weighted (12.5% each), even though they may not all be of the same difficulty. Some assignments may have optional bonus components that are worth extra credit.

The midterm exam will account for 20% of your final grade. This 50-minute closed-book exam will take place in class on Wednesday, March 4, 2022.

The final exam will account for 30% of your final grade. This 2-hour closed-book exam will take place in mid-to-late April, based on the date/time/location scheduled by the Registrar.

Grading Scheme

Each of the foregoing components will be given a numerical score. The final percentage grade will be calculated using the weights indicated above, and then converted to a final letter grade for the University grading system, using the scale shown on the CPSC 441 course information sheet.
