Exam Information

CPSC 457 will have two exams: a mid-term exam in late October, and a final examination in mid-December.

Midterm Exam

The CPSC 457 midterm exam will take place in class on October 29, 2008. The 50-minute closed book exam will cover all material presented in lectures, tutorials, and assignments up to the week before the exam. Specifically, the midterm exam covers Chapters 1 to 6 inclusive.

The midterm exam will be graded on a percentage scale. This exam counts 20% toward your final grade in CPSC 457.

Final Exam

The CPSC 457 final exam will take place on December 10, 2008 in ICT 121. The two-hour closed book final exam will cover all material presented in lectures, tutorials, and assignments up to the end of the semester, but with an emphasis on material covered since the midterm exam. Specifically, the final exam covers Chapters 1 to 12 inclusive, but with particular emphasis on Chapters 7 to 12 inclusive.

The final exam will be graded on a percentage scale. This exam counts 50% toward your final grade in CPSC 457.
