Overview
The purpose of this course is to introduce graduate students to networking research.
The first part of the course covers Internet protocols and applications, wired and wireless networking technologies, networking research paradigms, and the basic methodologies of computer systems performance evaluation.
The second part of the course delves more deeply into networking research, through the presentation and discussion of recent papers from the networking research literature.
By the end of the course, students should be well-prepared to do advanced graduate-level research in networking or closely-related areas.
See the official CPSC 641 calendar entry for course description and information on pre-requisites. A copy of the course information sheet (MS Word) is also here.
