Overview
The purpose of this course is to introduce graduate students to networking research.
The first part of the course (about 67%) provides an introduction to the Internet and the basic methodologies of computer systems performance evaluation, including a detailed discussion of Internet protocols and applications, wired and wireless networking technologies, and networking research paradigms.
The second part of the course (about 33%) delves more deeply into networking research, through the presentation and discussion of recent papers from the networking research literature.
By the end of the course, students should be well-prepared to do advanced graduate-level research in networking or closely-related areas.

Lectures
CPSC 641 lectures take place Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30am in KNB 128.
