Audio filters

I've been interested in how to process digital audio for some time now, and from that, the ability to add effects to audio, such as reverb, echo, surround effects, and so on.

While I'm sure there are tools out there that do this on a variety of platforms, and some might even be free, the point of this project is to learn how it's done, not necessarily to have a tool that does it.
