Description of the course

Standard techniques for the implementation of computer games. Standard multimedia programming environments and high performance multimedia. Special purpose rendering engines. Interactive control and feedback; modelling.

CPSC 453 and consent of the Department.

How to register

Since the prerequisite of this course is consent of the Department, people interested in taking the course cannot directly register in PeopleSoft. To deal with this, we will employ the following procedure:

  1. A student interested in taking the class must submit a brief statement of interest, not exceeding 250 words, describing:
    • Why the student wishes to take the course?
    • Why the student believes that (s)he is a good match for the course?
    to the
instructor of record before noon, Nov. 7, 2013. The statement can either be in plain text or a pdf-file.
  2. Since the number of students allowed to take the class is limited, the decision about admission of a student will be based on a combination of grade point average and the statement of interest.
  3. All students that expressed an interest in the course will be getting an email that either asks them to register via PeopleSoft or tells them that they unfortunately did not make the cut before Nov. 28, 2013.
