Is it possible to delete a transaction (without having to ``clear'' its account)? If it is, and a transaction is deleted, will there be any effect on the balance?

Yes, it should be possible for the user to request that a specific transaction be deleted (possibly, to correct a mistake). The account's ``opening balance'' won't be affected, when this happens.
