ABOUT ME

My name is David Fox.Currently, I just completed a Master's degree in Computer Science concentrating in Software Engineering and HCI practices at the University of Calgary. My area of research is Agile Usability: a combination of Agile methods and Interaction Design methodologies aimed at developing better software that meets the customer's and the user's wants and needs. So many things we use every day are poorly designed: I found a systematic way to design usable items so we can stop blaming ourselves for bad design and recognize that designers need to take a better approach towards design. For more information about this, please feel free to view my Research page. I have an extensive background in busines, art, and design.

My interests include art, design, software engineering methodologies, and business strategies. I have publications that range from photography, interior design, to software engineering. Below are some of my favorite designs by my favorite artists.

Monet inspires graphics computing with his pixilation painting technique           The Paramount Hotel New
       York city. A personal favorite.
Starkes's tea kettle. Kitchen art. Woman with yellow hair: no image inspires more abstraction.
