Calgary is located on the Eastern foothills of the Rocky Mountains, in Alberta Canada. The University of Calgary, founded from the pre-cursor University of Alberta at Calgary, occupies a favoured site in the NorthWest of the city with a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains, a short one hour drive away, providing access to Banff National Park and a selection of world class powder skiing.
