I am currently pursuing Ph.D. in Computer Science at University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I received my Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering at Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. At present, I have over 20 publications in refereed journals and conferences. I have a co-authored book titled "Efficient Trademark Retrieval using Weighted Image Features: A GPU Based Approach" which is published by VDM Verlag, Germany. I am one of the 11 recipients of  the most prestigious Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship of year 2014 from University of Calgary. I have also been awarded one of the most prestigious provincial scholarships - Alberta Innovates – Technology Futures (AITF) in 2014. My Ph.D. research includes human social interaction analysis for biometric security applications. My other research interests are digital image processing, pattern recognition, fuzzy logic, and GPU computing.
