Ignoring the technology of games and entertainment is foolish. A computer
game contains all of the basic elements that are taught in computer science and computer
engineering programs.
Students have a fascination with games and game technology, which can be used
to encourage them to learn more about the technical aspects of computer
science and engineering, and the computer game is a new medium/art form that
is new to the generation in universities right now.
Never mind that games alone was a 20 BILLION dollar industry this year. |

This work is also related to the Computer Science course CPSC 585, taught in conjunction with game developers Radical Entertainment of Vancouver BC. The course is an integral part of the 'Concentration in Computer Games Design', the only degree program in Canada (and one of the few anywhere) with a focus on computer games programming and design. |
