Teaching and Supervision

I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Computer Science. As an independent consultant, I have also taught external courses for continuing education and for industry. I have received a teaching award, and have been nominated twice for other awards. Student evaluations consistently rate me as well above our department's norm.

I currently supervise or co-supervise 1 Post-Doctoral Fellow, 3 PhD students, 2 MSc students, 1 international intern, 2 undergraduate researchers, and 1 administrative assistant. I have supervised 5 Postdoctoral Fellows, 5 PhD, 27 MSc and 2 Diplome students to successful conclusions. I regularly supervise a good number of of other graduate and undergraduate students and research employees in various capacities. I regularly participate as an advisor and/or an examiner in PhD supervisory committees, thesis defences, candidacy examinations and PhD transfer committees.
