How Kids Use The Internet For Project Research

This field study would examine how kids - likely grade 7-10 - use the internet to research school projects. In particular, this would be an examination of

  • how kids search for information
  • how they decide upon good sites and info
  • how they verify information accuracy,
  • how they capture that information
  • how they cite it (if at all)
  • how they assemble it as a remix.

This would give insight into 'naive' searching and mixing that is prolific today, and possibly the design of tools supporting information capture, verification, remixing, etc.
