Personal Archive

I wonder if people have spent much time looking at archiving practices of researchers on their personal computers, i.e., the structure of files/folders, versions, etc. It could be an interesting study to do that, along with an interview of problems they face i.e., a contextual interview plus folder analysis. The paper below is more general i.e., archiving in the everyday world vs. on computers. Some questions could be what strategies they use, where breakdown occurs, etc. Be interesting to think about tech. support for this, i.e., RFID documents to create a physical structure into the virtual.

Not necessarily for 681; this could be something that Tim and a postdoc could do together
