Grading

Three components, assignments, in-class term test, and research project, are included in the determination of the course grade.

Exam

The final exam will take place Tuesday, April 22, 8:00-10:00 in SS 008. Please note that no books or calculators will be permitted.

Feb 4 - On Assignment 1, there are 10 extra marks available for each of the bonus challenges, i.e., for a total of 20 extra possible marks.
Jan 29 - Note that, although binary exponentiation is technically a type of addition chain, bonus credit on assignment one for implementing addition chains will only be given if using an addition-chain based method that is superior to binary exponentiation. In addition, this improvement must be applied to RSA decryption, as it is trivial to apply it to encryption when one selects the public key e.
