Textbook Cryptography and Network Security - Principles and Practice (3rd Edition) William Stallings. ISBN 0-13-091429-0, Prentice Hall, August 2002.
The book's web site contains student resources and numerous useful links.
Grading Three components, assignments, in-class term test, and research project, are included in the determination of the course grade.

     Research Project 40% (50% for 601.96)
     In-class Term Test 20% (10% for 601.96)
Exam There will be an in-class term test during the last regularly scheduled lecture (Wednesday, April 12), but no final exam. The term test will cover all course material, including guest lectures and grad student presentations.
