Workshop Description

The Workshop, held for 20 years in conjunction with the International Conference on Computational Science and its Applications, is intended as an international forum  for researchers in all areas of computational geometry and related areas, with the goal of advancing the state of research in computational geometry and related disciplines.

Submissions of papers presenting a high-quality original research are invited to one of the two Workshop tracks: theoretical and applied computational geometry and applications in image processing, computer vision, GIS and security.

Computational methodology

Biometric and Information Security

Pattern Recognition and Image Processing

Big Data Management

Geometric methods in computer graphics

Computational methods in bioinformatics

Data structures (including Voronoi Diagrams and Delaunay triangulations)

Geometric computations in parallel and distributed environments

Novel applications of geometric algorithms in security domain

Algorithm implementation

Virtual reality

Submissions in other related areas will also be considered. The design and implementation of geometric algorithms in parallel and distributed environments, with big data analytics and machine learning for security are of special interest.
 

Proceedings and Submission

Papers accepted to CGA 20 will be published in Springer LNCS proceedings.

Electronic submissions in PS, PDF, or LaTex (please also submit all .eps, .dvi, and .ps files), MS Word submissions will also be accepted.  Please submit your paper through the CyberChair electronic submission system:

Important Dates

Deadline March 23, 2020: Deadline for Regular papers (10 to 16 pages LNCS style),  Short papers (7-9 pages LNCS) and Student Showcase papers 5-8 pages LNCS).
April 7, 2020: Notification of Acceptance in sync with ICCSA'20 acceptance notification deadline
May 2, 2020: Camera-ready paper submission and early bird registration.
July 1 - July 4, 2020: CGA'20 and ICCSA'20

Selected papers from the previous workshops appear in the special issues of the International Journal of Computational Geometry and Applications (IJCGA), World Scientific, Transactions on Computational Sciences, Springer-Verlag and other Journals.
