Assignments

CPSC 641 will have two equally-weighted assignments. Each assignment will be graded on a percentage scale. Assignments are to be done individually. In aggregate, the assignments count 30% toward your final grade in CPSC 641.

Some possible ideas for assignments are: workload characterization of a Unix file system; analysis of TCP performance in a wireless LAN; simulation evaluation of Web server scheduling strategies; and simulation evaluation of Web proxy caching policies.

Completed assignments are to be submitted in hardcopy form to your instructor on or before the stated deadline. Assignments will be graded and returned to you within 1 week.
